PICKER AND PACKER JOB ROLE

Job Purpose To accurately pick, verify, pack, label, and prepare products, instruments, components, and materials for internal movement or dispatch to customers while ensuring proper handling, identification, quantity, and packing quality.

1. Key Responsibilities

- Pick materials, components, instruments, and finished products as per the approved pick list, work order, or dispatch instructions.
- Verify product name, part number, model number, quantity, and other identification details before packing.
- Check the physical condition of items and report any damage, shortage, or mismatch to the supervisor.
- Pack products using appropriate packing materials such as cartons, bubble wrap, foam, thermocol, protective sheets, and other approved materials.
- Ensure delicate and sensitive instruments are adequately protected against shock, vibration, moisture, and scratches.
- Properly label packed materials with customer details, product information, quantity, handling instructions, and other required information.
- Ensure packing is neat, secure, and suitable for transportation.
- Prepare packages for dispatch and hand them over to the concerned dispatch/logistics personnel.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials safely when required.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the packing and dispatch area.
- Handle tools, packing equipment, and materials carefully.
- Maintain records related to picking, packing, and dispatch as instructed.
- Follow company procedures for material handling, identification, traceability, and dispatch.




- Report damaged, missing, excess, or incorrectly supplied materials immediately.
- Support stock verification and physical counting when required.
- Follow safety instructions and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other stores, packing, and dispatch-related duties assigned by the management.

1. Quality & Accuracy Responsibilities

- Ensure 100% accuracy in picking and packing against the approved documents.
- Prevent wrong product, wrong quantity, and wrong customer dispatches.
- Ensure product identification and traceability are maintained throughout the packing process.
- Take special care while handling precision instruments, electronic equipment, sensors, and calibration equipment.
- Ensure packing materials are appropriate for the product and transportation requirements.

1. Skills Required

- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Ability to identify product numbers, labels, quantities, and packing instructions.
- Basic understanding of counting and measurement.
- Positive attention to detail.
- Ability to handle products carefully.
- Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
- Basic knowledge of stores and dispatch activities is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.

1. Educational Qualification

Minimum: 10th / 12th Standard Preferred: ITI / Diploma or relevant experience in Stores, Packing, Warehouse, Production, or Dispatch.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
