Physiotherapist - Pallium India, BengaluruAbout the Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physiotherapist (BPT/MPT) with at least 1 year of experience to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive rehabilitation care across inpatient (IP), home care, and community palliative settings. You will work closely with physiatrists, medical specialists, and social workers to empower patients and their caregivers toward functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Treatment Planning: Evaluate patients upon admission, establish customized treatment schedules in discussion with physiatrists, and maintain updated medical records.
- Inpatient & Palliative Care: Manage a clinical caseload across IP/OP units and palliative care setups, leading empowering, patient-focused therapeutic groups.
- Home & Community Visits: Conduct home visits to evaluate spatial accessibility (ramps, bathroom modifications, bed types) and deliver care to unapproachable or needy patients in the community.
- Caregiver & Patient Education: Train patients and families on functional movement, pressure sore prevention, skincare, and the optimal use of assistive devices (wheelchairs, calipers).
- Discharge & Continuum of Care: Prepare pictorial exercise guides and charts for discharging patients, and conduct structured follow-up visits alongside social workers.
- Service Improvement & Collaboration: Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, resolve clinical conflicts constructively, and contribute to developing expert patient/caregiver support models.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) from a recognized institution.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical rehabilitation, home healthcare, or community/palliative care.
- Language Skills: Kannada, English.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel for home and community visits to reach needy patients.
- Compensation: As per industry standards (commensurate with experience).
