Job Summary

Syrus Hospital is looking for a responsible and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. The candidate will be responsible for secure and accurate dispensing of medicines, maintaining pharmacy records, ensuring proper storage of medications, and providing appropriate support to patients and clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions and clarify any discrepancies with the concerned doctor or clinical team.
- Ensure correct medicine, dosage, quantity, and labeling before dispensing.
- Maintain proper stock levels and monitor medicine availability.
- Check expiry dates, batch numbers, and storage conditions regularly.
- Maintain pharmacy registers, records, and documentation as per hospital requirements.
- Handle IP and OP pharmacy dispensing and billing procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments regarding medication requirements.
- Follow hospital pharmacy policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of temperature-sensitive and special-category medicines.
- Monitor near-expiry and expired medicines and follow the prescribed disposal procedure.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and discipline within the pharmacy.




- Provide basic medication-related guidance to patients regarding dosage, timing, and precautions as directed by the prescription.
- Support inventory audits and assist in identifying stock discrepancies.
- Perform other pharmacy-related duties assigned by the Pharmacy In-charge or Management.

Eligibility
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, and pharmacy operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in shifts and as part of a healthcare team.
