Job Title: Pharmacist

Reports To: Pharmacy Manager / Chief Pharmacist

Job Purpose: We are looking for a licensed and detail-oriented Pharmacist to manage our pharmacy operations, dispense medications accurately, and provide excellent patient care. You will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, advising patients on medicine usage, managing inventory, and ensuring strict compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and other state pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities1. Medication Dispensing & Patient Care

- Prescription Review: Screen prescriptions for correct dosage, potential drug interactions, allergies, and legal validity.
- Accurate Dispensing: Accurately compound (if applicable), pack, and label medications as prescribed by registered medical practitioners.
- Patient Counseling: Advise patients on correct dosages, side effects, storage conditions, and instructions for chronic disease medications (e.g., diabetes, hypertension).
- OTC Guidance: Provide safe and professional guidance on over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and healthcare products.

2. Inventory & Stock Management

- Stock Monitoring: Maintain optimum inventory levels, track slow-moving products, and raise orders to prevent stock-outs of life-saving drugs.
- Expiry Control: Implement strict FEFO (First Expired, First Out) practices to minimize medicine wastage and systematically isolate expired items.
- Cold Chain Maintenance:



Monitor and log refrigerator temperatures daily to ensure the efficacy of vaccines, insulin, and other temperature-sensitive medicines.

3. Compliance & Record Keeping

- Narcotics Management: Maintain precise records and registers for Schedule H, H1, and X drugs as per Indian pharmacy laws.
- Billing & Systems: Generate accurate invoices using pharmacy management software (ERP) and process insurance claims where applicable.
- Audits: Participate in periodic internal and external stock and regulatory audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) or D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) from a PCI-recognized institution.
- Licensure: Mandatory Active Registration as a Registered Pharmacist with the Haryana State Pharmacy Council (HSPC) or a transferable registration from another state council.
- Experience: 1 to 4 years (Freshers are welcome for Junior Pharmacist roles; 2 years preferred for Hospital/Senior roles).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with pharmacy retail software (like Marg ERP, eVital, or SAP) and basic MS Office tools.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, solid communication skills (Hindi & English), patience, and a service-oriented mindset.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts (especially in 24/7 hospital pharmacies or quick-commerce dark stores).
- Ability to stand for extended periods during peak pharmacy hours.
