Performance Marketing Manager | Onsite, Bengaluru
Role: Performance Marketing Manager
Location: Client Office, 2nd Main Road, Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru
Employer: Squadra Media Private Limited
Experience: 4–5 years in performance marketing
Type: Full-time · Onsite · Work from office
Squadra Media is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own paid media performance for one of our clients in Bengaluru, as part of a dedicated on-site team. This is a newly created role that brings paid media planning, execution and optimisation in-house, working alongside the existing creative and account resources.
This role is accountable for outcomes, not activity. Success is measured in ROAS, CPA, CPL, CAC and conversions, not in campaigns launched. You'll be expected to bring a point of view on where budget should go, and to argue it with data.
Eligibility criteria
These are firm requirements. We are looking for someone who meets all of them, not most of them.
Experience: 4–5 years of experience in performance marketing, with ownership of paid media outcomes, not just execution.
Strategy: Demonstrated ability to build full-funnel performance marketing strategy and monthly/campaign-level media plans, covering platform mix, budget split, audiences and expected outcomes.
Platform expertise: Hands-on expertise across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn and other paid platforms, including account structuring, audience segmentation and bid/budget optimisation.
Budget ownership: Proven experience managing and pacing campaign budgets against targets, and reallocating spend to protect efficiency.
Testing discipline: Experience running structured A/B and multivariate tests across creatives, audiences, copy and landing pages, with clear documentation of hypotheses and outcomes.
Tracking & measurement: Solid working knowledge of tracking implementation, GA4, conversion events, UTMs and attribution, with the ability to audit and resolve data discrepancies.
Analysis & reporting: Ability to turn campaign data into insight and recommendations, not just dashboards — comfortable presenting performance directly to client stakeholders.
Team management: Experience directing and reviewing the work of a junior performance resource, and developing them on the account.
Work arrangement:
Willing and able to work full-time from the client location in Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru. This role has no work-from-home option.
Language: Fluent written and spoken English.
Good to have
Experience managing paid media for F&B;, retail, lifestyle or D2C brands.
Advanced Google Ads / Meta Blueprint certifications.
Experience with server-side tracking and e-commerce tracking setups.
Exposure to competitor and category benchmarking for paid activity.
Experience working on-site or embedded within a client team.
What you'll do
Strategy & media planning
Develop full-funnel performance marketing strategies aligned to the Client's business objectives.
Build monthly and campaign-level media plans covering platform mix, budget split, audiences and expected outcomes.
Define the measurement framework for each campaign: which metrics matter, what success looks like, and what the benchmarks are.
Plan seasonal, festive and launch-led paid activity in step with the content calendar.
Advise the Client on realistic outcomes against the available budget, before commitments are made.
Campaign execution & optimisation
Plan, set up, execute and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn and other paid platforms as required.
Build and maintain clean account structures, covering naming conventions, campaign hierarchy and audience segmentation.
Monitor campaigns daily and act on pacing, delivery, frequency and performance issues promptly.
Optimise bids, budgets, audiences, placements and creative rotation on an ongoing basis.
Manage audience building, exclusions, remarketing pools and lookalike segments.
Budget management
Manage campaign budgets against the approved monthly spend, with accurate pacing throughout the month.
Optimise toward ROAS, CPA, CPL, CAC and conversion targets as agreed with the Client.
Reallocate spend between campaigns and platforms within agreed tolerances to protect efficiency.
Flag under-delivery,
overspend risk or budget exhaustion to the Client and the Account Lead in advance, not after the fact.
Maintain a clear record of spend by platform, campaign and period for reconciliation.
Testing & experimentation
Run structured A/B and multivariate tests across creatives, audiences, copy, formats and landing pages.
Maintain a testing roadmap so that experimentation is continuous rather than reactive.
Document each test: hypothesis, setup, result and the decision taken as a consequence.
Feed creative learnings back to the Creative Director and Designer so that future work is informed by what performs.
Tracking, measurement & attribution
Ensure accurate implementation of tracking, including pixels, conversion events, UTMs and server-side tracking where applicable.
Maintain GA4 configuration, conversion tracking and attribution setup for the account.
Audit tracking regularly and resolve discrepancies between platform and analytics data.
Coordinate with the Client's web, e-commerce or development resources on any tracking implementation required.
Escalate tracking gaps that materially affect reporting accuracy rather than reporting around them.
Analysis & reporting
Analyse campaign data to identify growth opportunities, efficiency gains and points of failure.
Prepare and present performance reports with observations, learnings and recommended actions, not data dumps.
Provide weekly performance snapshots and a full monthly report as agreed with the Client.
Maintain competitor and category tracking on paid activity where visible.
Translate performance insight into clear recommendations the Client can act on.
Coordination with the team
Work with the Creative Director and Designer on creative requirements, variants and testing volumes.
Work with the Junior Account Manager so that paid requirements are built into the content calendar in advance.
Brief the Video Editor and Photographer/Videographer on paid-specific asset requirements through the Account Lead.
Support the wider team with performance insight that informs organic content decisions.
Allocate, direct and review the work of the Performance Marketing Executive, and develop them on the account.
Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per month
Benefits
- Paid sick time
- Provident Fund
Work Location: In person
