Packaging Development Executive

Role Overview
This role will serve as the single point of accountability for end-to-end structural and physical packaging development at Mylo spanning Baby Care, Personal Care & Cosmetics, and Food & Nutrition categories. The incumbent will own packaging from brief to final production, ensuring that form, function, material, cost, and compliance are all aligned to Mylos quality and brand standards.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in structural / physical packaging development
- Prior experience in one or more categories: Baby Care, Personal Care / Cosmetics, Food & Nutrition, FMCG
- Strong working knowledge of packaging materials: plastics (HDPE, PET, PP), laminates, paperboard, glass
- Experience managing tooling (moulds, dies) and first article inspections
- Familiarity with BIS standards, Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, and FSSAI packaging norms
- Ability to read and create structural packaging drawings / diapacks
- Proven vendor management experience: cost negotiation, MOQ, lead time, and quality ownership
Good to Have
- Experience with sustainable packaging materials (PCR, biodegradables, recyclable formats)
- Exposure to hygiene product packaging: diapers, wipes, sanitary products
- Background in Packaging Technology, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
- Experience working in a D2C or high-growth startup environment
- Knowledge of import packaging norms and export documentation
Educational Background
- B.Tech / B.E. in Packaging Technology, IIP or related discipline

- Zero packaging-related production holds or launch delays due to structural issues
- Measurable reduction in packaging cost per unit across the portfolio
- All new launches delivered with validated, compliant, production-ready packaging
- A robust vendor panel with at least 2 qualified sources per critical packaging component
- Explicit internal playbooks for packaging specs, material standards, and IQC parameters
- Packaging sustainability roadmap defined and first milestones achieved
