Overseas Education Counsellor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Overseas Education Counsellor to join our Mumbai team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and parents on international education opportunities and managing the student journey from initial counselling through university admission and visa processing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of international universities, admissions procedures, visa requirements, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in converting student enquiries into successful enrolments.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding study-abroad destinations, courses, universities, and career pathways.
- Understand students' academic profiles, career goals, financial requirements, and preferences to recommend suitable options.
- Handle the complete student counselling and application process, from initial enquiry to enrolment.
- Shortlist appropriate universities and programs based on student profiles.
- Guide students through university applications, documentation, SOPs/LORs, scholarships, and application deadlines.
- Provide accurate guidance regarding student visa requirements, financial documentation, and visa procedures.
- Coordinate with universities, admission teams, visa teams, and other internal departments.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students and parents.
- Convert qualified leads into successful applications and enrolments.
- Maintain accurate student records and follow-ups through CRM.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly admission/enrolment targets.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, webinars, university events,



and student workshops.
- Stay updated on university requirements, admission policies, visa regulations, scholarships, and post-study work options.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, university representatives, and referral partners.
- Ensure a high level of professionalism, transparency, and student service throughout the counselling process.

Preferred Destination Knowledge

Experience in one or more of the following destinations will be preferred:

- UK
- USA
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Ireland
- Europe
- UAE

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in overseas education counselling, international student recruitment, admissions, or study-abroad consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of international education and admission processes.
- Experience handling student applications and visa processes.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid counselling, negotiation, presentation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple student applications simultaneously.
- Target-oriented with a strong focus on student conversion and enrolment.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Compensation

₹60,000 – ₹70,000 per month, depending on relevant experience, destination expertise, and performance.

Additional performance incentives may be offered based on enrolment and achievement of targets.
