Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Optical Fitter to join our Optical Business team. The candidate will be responsible for fitting and assembling spectacles as per customer prescriptions and ensuring proper frame and lens alignment while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform accurate lens fitting and spectacle assembly as per prescription.
- Cut, edge, mount, and fit lenses into different types of frames.
- Ensure proper lens positioning, alignment, PD, fitting height, and frame adjustment.
- Check lenses for correct SPH, CYL, AXIS, and other prescription parameters.
- Inspect spectacles for scratches, coating defects, chipping, cracks, and other quality issues.
- Carry out final quality checks before dispatch or delivery.
- Adjust frames, temples, nose pads, and other components for proper fitting.
- Identify and rectify fitting or manufacturing-related defects.
- Coordinate with the optical sales and quality-control teams.
- Maintain accuracy, cleanliness, and safety while handling lenses and optical equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.





Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of optical lenses, frames, and prescriptions.
- Hands-on experience in lens fitting and spectacle assembly.
- Knowledge of lensmeter and basic optical measurements.
- Understanding of SPH, CYL, AXIS, PD, and fitting height.
- Good knowledge of frame fitting and alignment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Ability to identify lens and frame defects.
- Positive coordination and teamwork skills.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: 10th / 12th / Diploma / relevant optical qualification.
- Experience: Prior experience as an Optical Fitter or in an optical laboratory/retail optical setup will be preferred.
