Role Description This part-time Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant role is an on-site position based in Sholinganallur. The consultant will provide outpatient and inpatient OB-GYN care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of obstetric and gynecologic conditions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, performing relevant procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, participating in case discussions, and supporting patient education and counseling for reproductive,



maternal, and women’s health. The consultant is expected to contribute to high-quality, evidence-based care while upholding TMC’s patient-centered values.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynecology, including antenatal care, gynecologic assessment, and management of common and complex conditions.
- Proficiency in performing OB-GYN procedures appropriate to a tertiary care setting (e.g., deliveries, minor gynecologic procedures), with strong skills in clinical decision-making and emergency response.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling, multidisciplinary teamwork, and clear documentation.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical governance, safety, and quality standards.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology (e.g., MD, MS, DNB) and valid medical registration as per local regulatory requirements.
- Experience in hospital-based OB-GYN practice in India, preferably in a multi-specialty or tertiary care environment.
- Ability to work flexibly in a part-time, in office role and adapt to patient volumes and operational needs.
