Trelleborg India Private Limited, (Business Area: Trelleborg Sealing Solutions) headquartered at Bangalore is a leading sealing solution provider in India. The company with about 900+ employees across India has been successful in creating strong footholds in the Sealing market of the country.
We are seeking a skilled NPI Process Engineer to join our team. The role is responsible for leading the development, validation, and implementation of manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Ensure All Advanced Product Quality Process documentation, including launched on time, within quality requirements, and are capable of meeting customer and business expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate manufacturing process development documentation for new products.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies, process risk assessments
- Participate in design reviews and product realization activities, providing Design for Manufacturability and Assembly input.
- Develop and maintain prototype and production Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete inspection reports, capability studies, SPC, MSA, and other PPAP documentation.
- Plan and execute process trials, validations, run-at-rate activities, and production readiness reviews.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, identify risks or deviations, and escalate issues with clear recovery actions.
- Monitor process capability, yield, cycle time, scrap, and manufacturing performance during launch and stabilization.
- Lead structured problem-solving for launch-related manufacturing issues using 8D, 5 Why, and root cause analysis methods.
- Ensure all process and quality documentation is complete, approved, and released before handover to Operations.
- Support continuous improvement, lessons learned, and standardization of NPI and APQP practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, NPI, industrialization, or product launch, preferably in an automotive or engineered-products environment.
- Practical experience in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, process validation, and cross-functional project execution is required.
- Fluent in Kannada and English.
