About The Role

WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is seeking a highly skilled Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer for a remote, long-term contract position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced network professionals to lead complex projects, contribute to architectural standards, and deliver innovative network solutions in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will act as a technical leader within the delivery team, guiding engineers, designing network infrastructures, and ensuring seamless transition of solutions into operational support.

This position requires a deep understanding of multiple network technologies, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a regulated industry environment.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of extensive experience in designing, leading, and implementing complex network solutions within large enterprise or regulated environments.

Certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at the Certified Technical Specialist level are highly advantageous. A proven track record of leading technical teams, managing end-to-end projects, and delivering solutions that align with architectural standards is essential. Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and proactive workload management are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert in two or more network technologies, with a comprehensive understanding of other network disciplines used within the organization.
- Lead large transformational programs and network-led initiatives, ensuring designs meet business requirements and architectural standards.
- Develop detailed low-level designs and supporting documentation for network solutions.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable network infrastructure solutions.




- Collaborate with global support teams to facilitate smooth transition of solutions into operational support environments.
- Ensure all network activities comply with governance, change management, and audit requirements.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project objectives, providing regular updates and escalating issues when necessary.
- Estimate workload and delivery timelines accurately, managing project scope effectively.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a focus on risk management and ensure all activities adhere to regulatory and internal standards.
