Responsibilities

Participation in engineering duties for the Data Center Compute team, including management of existing systems, deployment of new ones, and the overall support and automation of the Windows server platform.

Maintain MSSQL server clusters supporting business application databases across multiple data centers.

Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to onboard, troubleshoot or improve on hosted MSSQL databases.

Work collaboratively with peers in the Data Center Compute team on virtualization and cross-platform interoperability tasks

Basic Qualifications

8+ years in IT, 4+ specifically related to management of Windows Server systems hosted in a virtual workplace

2+ years maintaining High-Availability (HA) MSSQL server environments including working with stakeholders to onboard databases, create maintenance plans including backup/recovery/DR, and tune for performance

2+ years developing scripts in PowerShell and other automation technologies

Experience supporting Windows server systems in an environment with Windows,



Mac and Linux clients

Experience configuring and troubleshooting n-tier applications utilizing a least privilege model.

Work with business units to translate needs into technical requirements to design, implement, and support applications utilizing recommended best practices.

Experience on traditional database and MySQL

Preferred Qualifications

Experience securing Windows OS, MSSQL Servers, and Windows Applications/Services

Experience configuring MSSQL auditing

Experience with authoring custom PowerShell cmdlets and modules, PowerShell best practices, and Desired State Configuration (DSC)

Experience with cloud and hybrid compute architecture including Microsoft Azure.

Experience participating in IT compliance audits (PCI, SOX, etc)

Strong PowerShell skills, .NET Experience a plus

Experience in scripting with REST, JSON as well as SQL

Experience on MySQL
