Summary:

UST is looking for AI Engineer

Experience

- 7+ years of experience designing and developing full-stack, AI-enabled applications.
- Proven experience integrating AI and Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and deploy GenAI-powered applications and solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM integrations, and agentic workflows.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Python-based microservices and APIs, with FastAPI preferred, to support AI, automation, and business use cases.
- Build scalable data models and data pipelines to support analytics, AI applications, and automation workflows.
- Implement data quality frameworks, validation checks, observability, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure reliable and production-ready AI systems.
- Integrate APIs, microservices, LLMs, and external AI services into scalable automation workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, data teams, and engineering teams to identify opportunities and translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerization, orchestration, and release management.
- Design and develop scalable backend systems that support high-volume AI and automation workloads.
- Deploy and maintain AI applications across cloud environments such as AWS and/or Azure.
- Participate in troubleshooting, performance optimization, production support, and continuous improvement of AI-enabled applications.

Required Skills





- Strong programming expertise in Python and experience building scalable backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic AI workflows.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices, preferably using FastAPI.
- Experience integrating APIs, microservices, and external AI/LLM services into enterprise applications and automation workflows.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, data validation, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Experience building and deploying production-grade, scalable AI applications.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, API design, distributed systems, and application scalability.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Positive-to-Have Skills

- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases and embedding technologies.
- Familiarity with AI observability, evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, or automation platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud-native AI/ML services and MLOps practices.
