We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Lead to drive mechanical design, technical strategy, and engineering team development within our medical device design group. The role requires a hands-on engineering professional who can lead mechanical design activities from concept development through production while ensuring high-quality engineering output.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop mechanical design engineers.
- Review and approve 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T;, tolerance analysis, and engineering documentation.
- Drive concept development, feasibility studies, and robust mechanical design.
- Design and develop plastic, sheet-metal, and precision-machined components.
- Perform GD&T;, tolerance stack-ups, DFM/DFA, calculations, and engineering analysis.
- Support verification and validation (V&V;) testing and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers, toolmakers, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams.
- Support mechanical sections of Design History Files (DHF), V&V; documentation, FMEA, and risk/hazard analysis.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance development,



and technical training of engineers.
- Ensure engineering projects meet quality, cost, timeline, and technical requirements.

Required Skills
- Robust hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
- Mechanical design experience with plastic, sheet-metal, and precision-machined components.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience with DFM/DFA and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proven team leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries is preferred.
