- Own complete mechanical design solutions within customer, system, quality, timing, and cost targets.

- Translate product requirements into packaging, structural, thermal, material, and manufacturing solutions.

- Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications, and BOM inputs.

- Manage vehicle packaging, mounting points, connector access, and service clearances.

- Select and design components using plastics, sheet-metal, die-cast, adhesives, and thermal materials.

- Integrate displays, cover lenses, touch panels, and decorative parts with cosmetic quality control.

- Define passive/active thermal management concepts and ensure robustness against vibration, shock, corrosion, and environmental ageing.

- Apply GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, and resolve dimensional variation issues.

- Lead DFMEA, risk analysis, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and automotive standards.

- Support prototypes, DV/PV testing, and root-cause analysis for mechanical issues.

- Collaborate with suppliers, review tooling concepts,



and support industrialization activities.

- Provide mechanical inputs for RFQs, drive VAVE, lightweighting, and cost optimization initiatives.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Bachelor/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering.

- 710 years of automotive mechanical product development (cockpit electronics preferred).

- Minimum 5 years of ownership in mechanical design, packaging, or technical lead roles.

- Expertise in plastics, sheet-metal, die-cast, machined, rubber, adhesive, optical, and thermal components.

- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5/V6, Teamcenter/ENOVIA/Windchill, tolerance-analysis tools, and CAE interpretation.

- Solid knowledge of GD&T;, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, DV/PV, PPAP, APQP, and change management.

- Experience collaborating with OEM customers, styling teams, toolmakers, suppliers, and manufacturing plants
