AKAS Medical Equipment is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D; Team. If you have hands-on experience in Creo, plastic part design, 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings and BOMs, this is an opportunity to work on innovative medical equipment and real-world product development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop 3D models and mechanical designs using Creo.
- Design and develop plastic parts, enclosures and mechanical components for medical equipment.
- Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions and tolerances.
- Create and maintain BOMs
- Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in drawings.
- Follow DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles for production-ready designs.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Production, Quality and Purchase teams for design development and implementation.
- Support prototype development, testing, design modifications and engineering changes.
- Work closely with vendors/manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.

Required Skills





- Strong hands-on experience in PTC Creo / Creo Parametric.
- Good knowledge of Plastic Part Design and mechanical component design.
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling and 2D Manufacturing Drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, DFM, tolerances and engineering standards.
- Experience in preparing and managing BOMs.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as Injection Moulding, CNC, Sheet Metal or related processes.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Eligibility

- B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 24 years of relevant experience in Mechanical/Product Design.
- Candidates with experience in medical devices, plastic products, consumer products or precision manufacturing will be preferred.
