Job Summary

The product manager is accountable for the current state of the product in terms of required business functionality, performance, cyber security and IT part of Business Continuity Plans BCP. Related to that, they drive the solution of problem records. They make sure the platform follows the BAT TnT template standards. Furthermore they define a strategy for the product which contains elements about platform development. Based on developments or trends in the business or technique, they recommend on updates in the product template. They manage the product teams capacity and projects assignments of product team members.

Product

Manager acts as the Line Manager for the Business Analysts within their Product Teams. The product manager may also perform other roles within their Product Team andor a GTnT Project manager if circumstances require this. There are separate descriptions for those roles.

Key Responsibilities

- The supported functionalities by the product in terms of scope, quality and performance

- Approve Change Requests

- Review Business Requirements Documents

- Defining and confirming development priorities for the Product

- Adherence to the BAT TnT template

- Approves Change Requests and functional deliverables of the Solution Designs

- Quality of the products documentation

- Validate Product related documentation based on document management criteria





- Management of the work delivered byproduct related BAT vendors

- Be up to date with developments in the market relevant to the product

- Indicateescalate deficits in service level

- Contribute to contract and price negotiations

- Capacity management

- Product Team resources + vendor capacity planning

- Mid-term capacity planning pillar

- Escalate internal undercapacity

- Assign people from the product pillar to projectchanges

- Capacity forecast for vendors quarterly

- On request, deliver input for vendor contracts

- Drive short term product improvements

- Define long term product strategy

- Define and maintain a 2 year product strategy to guarantee functionality, cost efficiency, TnT template compliance

- Align with BAT architecture and IT strategies

- Provides input to Business Continuity Plans BCPs prepared and managed by individual plants and End Markets
- defines the IT part of the work process and required resources incl. alternative systems to secure continuity of operations in case of system outage andor physical disaster
