ROLE PURPOSE: Lead day-to-day CNC Machine Shop Production for high-precision engine components, ensuring achievement of Production, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost and Safety targets through solid Shop-floor execution, Machine utilisation, Manpower optimisation and Process discipline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own shift-wise, daily and monthly production plan achievement.
- Drive effective machine loading, line balancing, manpower deployment and throughput.
- Optimise CNC machine utilisation, cycle time, setup/changeover time and OEE.
- Manage CNC Turning, VMC/HMC and machining centre operations.
- Ensure availability and effective control of tools, fixtures, gauges, coolant and consumables.
- Monitor and reduce breakdowns, idle time, rejection, rework and process losses.
- Drive structured RCA/CAPA for recurring production and quality issues.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC and Engineering for quick resolution of shop-floor constraints.
- Implement Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Control manpower productivity, absenteeism, overtime and shift discipline.
- Ensure strict adherence to process parameters, SOPs, Control Plans, Quality and Safety standards.
- Develop Supervisors, Line Leaders, Setters and Operators to build a capable production team.
- Ensure accurate shift production reporting, MIS and escalation of deviations.
