About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Legal professional with strong exposure to both Litigation and Non-Litigation matters, particularly SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) projects and cases. The role will involve independently managing legal matters, coordinating with external advocates and consultants, and providing legal support to various business functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle and manage real estate litigation and non-litigation matters from inception to closure.
- Manage SRA-related cases, matters and documentation, including coordination with relevant authorities.
- Handle matters relating to property disputes, redevelopment, land/title issues, agreements and regulatory matters.
- Review, draft and negotiate various real estate agreements, including:

- Development Agreements

- Sale Agreements

- MOUs
- Leave & License Agreements

- Contractor/Vendor Agreements
- Society-related agreements and documentation
- Conduct title due diligence and review property-related documents, title reports and legal opinions.
- Manage court cases, notices, claims and disputes in coordination with external legal counsel.
- Coordinate with external advocates, solicitors, consultants, societies, authorities and internal stakeholders.




- Track litigation matters, hearings, case status and legal compliances.
- Provide timely legal advice to business teams on ongoing projects and transactions.
- Identify potential legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Liaise with government and regulatory authorities, wherever required.
- Maintain proper records of litigation, agreements, notices and other legal documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

- LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.
- 812 years of relevant experience, preferably with a real estate developer or a law firm handling real estate matters.
- Strong hands-on experience in both litigation and non-litigation.
- Prior experience handling SRA-related matters/cases is preferred.
- Good understanding of Mumbai real estate laws, redevelopment and SRA processes.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and documentation skills.
- Experience in independently handling matters and coordinating with senior management and external legal counsel.
- Solid communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work in a fast-paced real estate environment.
