The Mechanical Lead shall be responsible for providing overall technical leadership, project management, construction monitoring, quality assurance, and commissioning support for all mechanical systems associated with thermal power plants and their Balance of Plant facilities. The role includes review of engineering deliverables, construction methodologies, equipment installation, contractor performance, safety compliance, schedule adherence, and resolution of technical issues related to boilers, steam turbines, generators, piping systems, rotating equipment, cooling water systems, fuel and ash handling systems, and utility packages.
The Mechanical
Lead shall act as the primary interface between the Client, EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams to ensure successful project execution in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and statutory requirements.
The incumbent shall lead site construction and commissioning activities, monitor project progress, review inspection and test plans, witness critical erection and commissioning milestones, assess risks, and provide recommendations for corrective actions to achieve project objectives.
The Mechanical
Lead shall support project planning, cost control, contract administration, performance testing, reliability run activities, and preparation of management reports, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and HSE requirements. The position requires strong expertise in power plant construction, commissioning, asset integrity, multidisciplinary coordination, stakeholder management, and project leadership to ensure protected, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
