Job Requirements
Month-end Financial Reporting & Balance Sheet Governance
- Own the month-end reporting cycle, including preparation of MIS, variance analysis, and management commentary.
- Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reviews to assess financial accuracy, identify risks, and ensure adherence to accounting and control requirements.
- Enhance recurring FP&A; reports and dashboards to improve the clarity, timeliness and actionability of management information.
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes, automation, and governance to enhance efficiency and quality of financial information.
Inventory and Working Capital
- Lead inventory performance reviews across stores and the supply chain, with a focus on inventory turns, ageing and adherence to approved inventory levels.
- Identify inventory imbalances and improvement opportunities, partnering with Merchandising, ISCM and regional teams to drive timely corrective action.
- Strengthen inventory forecasting and management reporting to support effective deployment and working-capital decisions.
Gross Contribution and COGS Analytics
- Lead gross contribution and COGS analytics, including item-level insights, forecasting and monthly performance reviews.
- Identify key drivers of margin performance and partner with relevant teams to address risks and unlock improvement opportunities.
- Improve the quality and granularity of profitability reporting to enable sharper business decisions.
Store Profitability and Capital Efficiency
- Drive store and regional profitability reviews, with a clear focus on return on investment and cost efficiency.
- Provide financial evaluation of significant operating and capital expenditure proposals.
- Partner with regional and commercial teams to identify concern stores, agree improvement actions and monitor progress.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead cross-functional performance discussions and ensure clear ownership and follow-through on agreed actions.
- Bring structure to ambiguous issues and escalate material matters with considered recommendations.
Work Experience
- Strong analytical ability, commercial acumen and a sound understanding of financial performance drivers.
- A high degree of initiative and ownership, with the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into transparent insights and practical recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to lead cross-functional discussions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL and financial modelling.
Desirable Attributes
- Relevant experience in jewellery or a product-led consumer business, with a strong understanding of inventory, margin and working-capital drivers, will be preferred.
- Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP and Tableau would be an advantage.
