This is a core Financial Planning & Analysis role housed within the CEO Office & Strategy team. You will own the planning, forecasting, performance-reporting and profitability agenda for the business, and act as the financial conscience in leadership discussions – the person who can say, with evidence, what the numbers mean and what should be done about them.

The role is deliberately hands-on and full-stack. You will build the models, write the queries, design the dashboards, close the variance analysis and then present the story to the CEO and leadership team. It combines classic FP&A; depth with modern data tooling, and it requires someone who is as comfortable in a DAX measure and a SQL join as in a P&L;, a cash flow and a month-end close.

Given the exposure to confidential financial information and the technical accounting judgement involved, a qualified Chartered Accountant is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities 1. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

- Own the annual operating plan and budget end to end – timelines, templates, assumption sets, bottom-up build-up with function heads, consolidation, review cycles and final leadership sign-off.
- Run the rolling forecast process (monthly / quarterly) covering revenue, gross margin, operating cost, EBITDA, working capital and cash, with clear documentation of assumptions and bridges to the prior view.
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models that link operational volumes and activity to financial outcomes, rather than growing lines by a percentage.
- Prepare long-range plans and multi-year business projections to support strategic, capacity and investment decisions.
- Run scenario, sensitivity and what-if analyses (best / base / downside) and quantify the financial impact of strategic options for leadership.
- Performance Reporting, Variance & Business Partnering
- Own the monthly MIS and management reporting pack – P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, KPI dashboards and management commentary – delivered accurately and on the committed calendar.
- Perform detailed budget-versus-actual and forecast-versus-actual variance analysis; explain movements by driver (volume, price, mix, cost, phasing) and not merely by line item.
- Act as finance business partner to sales, operations, delivery and support functions – challenge spend, validate business cases and help function heads manage to plan.
- Prepare material for monthly and quarterly business reviews, board packs, investor updates and lender or auditor requirements.
- Maintain an early-warning view on performance risks and opportunities,

and drive corrective action with the relevant owners.
- Profitability, Cost & Cash
- Analyse profitability at every meaningful cut – project, product, customer, channel, region, service line – and identify where value is being created and destroyed.
- Build and refine unit economics, contribution margin and cost-to-serve models; support pricing, discounting, bidding and make-versus-buy decisions with quantified analysis.
- Drive cost control and efficiency initiatives: opex and overhead analysis, vendor and category spend review, headcount and manpower cost planning, and tracking of savings actually realised.
- Monitor working capital – receivables, payables, inventory and advances – and support cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and new investments using NPV, IRR, payback and ROCE; track post-implementation performance against the approved case.
- Accounting Workflows, Close & Controls
- Work closely with the accounts and controllership team through the month-end and year-end close – accruals, provisions, cut-off, cost allocations and revenue recognition – to ensure reported numbers are complete and correct.
- Apply a strong working understanding of end-to-end accounting workflows (order to cash, procure to pay, record to report, fixed assets, payroll) when interpreting, reconciling and challenging data.
- Reconcile management reporting to the statutory books and clearly explain the bridge between the two.
- Ensure reporting and analysis respect applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS as relevant), internal control requirements and audit expectations.
- Support statutory audit, internal audit, tax and compliance requirements with analysis, schedules and explanations as required.
- Strategy & CEO Office Support
- Convert open-ended questions from the CEO and leadership into structured analyses with clear, defensible recommendations.
- Prepare business cases, decision notes and financial evaluations for new initiatives, markets, partnerships and organic or inorganic growth opportunities.
- Track strategic priorities and enterprise KPIs across functions,

flag deviations early and drive closure with business owners.

Candidate RequirementsQualifications – Mandatory

- Essential: Chartered Accountant (CA) – qualified and in good standing. This is a non-negotiable requirement; applications without CA qualification will not be considered.
- Essential: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in FP&A;, business finance, management reporting, controllership or a CEO / MD office finance role.

Technical Skills

- Essential: Full-cycle FP&A; ownership – budgeting, rolling forecasting, variance analysis, MIS, profitability analysis and driver-based financial modelling.
- Essential: Solid command of accounting standards, month-end close processes and the link between management and statutory reporting.
- Essential: Practical understanding of relational data structures, keys, joins and granularity
- Essential: Confident presentation skills in PowerPoint for board, investor and leadership audiences.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Oracle (NetSuite) ERP
- Preferred: Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency or multi-geography reporting environment.

Behavioural Attributes

- High ownership – takes a problem from question to answer to action with limited direction.
- Rigorous attention to detail; a number presented to leadership must be right and must be defensible.
- Commercial mindset – interprets numbers in terms of business decisions, not just accounting outcomes.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain financial analysis to non-finance stakeholders.
- Able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively, without direct authority.
- Absolute discretion and integrity when handling confidential financial and business information.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities and short turnaround requests.

What Success Looks Like In The First Year

- The annual budget and rolling forecast run on a clear calendar, with assumptions documented and forecast accuracy improving cycle over cycle.
- There is visibility on cost leaks and a clear action plan to address those
- The monthly MIS closes on time, reconciles to the books and is explained by driver rather than by line item.
- Leadership reviews run on a single, automated and trusted set of dashboards instead of competing spreadsheets.
- Profitability by project, customer and service line is visible, understood and actively managed.
- Recurring manual reporting effort is materially reduced through better data models and automation.
