Experience

Engineer

- 5-8 years of experience in boiler structure erection and site execution.

Manager

- 11+ years of experience in execution of large BTG/EPC thermal power projects with leadership responsibility.

Job Purpose To lead and execute boiler structural steel erection activities for thermal power projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual commitments. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring boiler structure erection activities from material receipt through mechanical completion and handover. Boiler Structure Erection & Execution

- Plan and execute erection of boiler supporting structures, columns, beams, bracings, platforms, galleries, and auxiliary steel structures.
- Ensure erection activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, erection sequences, and project schedules.
- Monitor structural alignment, dimensional checks, verticality, and levelness during erection.
- Coordinate erection activities to achieve milestone targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Heavy Lift Planning & Rigging

- Review and implement heavy lift methodologies for structural components.
- Coordinate with crane agencies and rigging teams for lifting and placement of heavy structural members.
- Ensure compliance with lifting procedures, load charts, lifting plans, and safety requirements.
- Participate in lift studies,



risk assessments, and method statement reviews.

Planning & Coordination

- Prepare erection schedules, manpower deployment plans, and resource utilization plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, boiler pressure parts, piping, electrical, C&I;, and civil teams for seamless execution.
- Identify construction constraints and develop mitigation plans to maintain project timelines.
- Participate in project review meetings and progress monitoring.

Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure erection activities comply with approved quality plans and project specifications.
- Monitor welding, bolting, fit-up, alignment, and NDT activities.
- Coordinate stage inspections with client, consultant, and quality teams.
- Ensure timely closure of punch points and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Material Management

- Monitor material receipt, identification, storage, preservation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure availability of structural materials as per erection priorities.
- Track excess, shortages, damages, and material consumption.
- Coordinate with stores, logistics, and procurement teams for uninterrupted execution.

EHS Management

- Implement and enforce site safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections,



and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems and statutory safety regulations.
- Promote a zero-harm safety culture across workforce and subcontractors.

Subcontractor Management

- Manage subcontractors engaged in structural fabrication and erection activities.
- Monitor productivity, quality, safety performance, and resource deployment.
- Verify measurements and support certification of subcontractor bills.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve site execution challenges.

Mechanical Completion & Handover

- Prepare mechanical completion dossiers and handover documentation.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning activities and system handovers.
- Ensure timely closure of construction punch points.
- Support commissioning teams during startup and testing phases.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineerin
- Diploma holders with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
