Objective of Role The Manager - Automation (Security infrastructure & Smart City Operations) leads the planning, deployment, and operational management of automated physical security and smart surveillance systems across city-wide Special Economic Zones (SEZ), Domestic Tariff Areas (DTA), This role ensures seamless integration between distributed IoT sensors, intruder alarm system, physical access controls, perimeter monitoring, Surveillance and the central Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) to deliver maximum uptime and automated incident response across public and commercial domains.

Position type -on contract for a period of 3 years from the date of joining, extendable based on organization needs and candidates performance.

Pay Band

- In the pay-scale of Rs.44,900-1,42,400 as per 7th CPC

Qualifications

- B.E. / B. Tech in Electronics &

• Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Experience

- 6 - 10 years in managing large-scale physical security automation, smart city command centers (ICCC), or mega-township infrastructure projects.

Role Descriptions

- City-Wide System Architecture: Drive the deployment of automated safety and security systems across large geographical zones, including AI-driven CCTV video analytics, perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS), and automated bollards/boom barriers.
- ICCC Integration &

• Workflow Automation

: Oversee integration between field security devices, traffic management systems, and the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC). Develop automated incident response workflows and digital Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for emergency event handling.
- Smart Infrastructure &

• Network Integration

: Collaborate with urban planning, network infrastructure,



and smart utility teams to integrate security systems with Building Management Systems (BMS), public address systems, emergency call boxes (ECB), and fiber-optic communication networks.
- Vendor &

• System Integrator Management

: Supervise master system integrators (MSIs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Enforce strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintenance KPIs, and uptime targets across distributed multi-building and public-realm assets.
- Compliance, Safety &

• Audits

: Conduct regular technical audits, system health monitoring, and cyber-physical vulnerability assessments. Ensure city-wide security automation complies with government regulations, data privacy norms, and SEZ/DTA access protocols.
- Analytics &

• Performance Reporting

: Monitor false-alarm rates, sensor health, network latency, and mean time to respond (MTTR). Deliver executive dashboards and actionable operational reports to city administration.

Skills Required

- Smart City Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with VMS, Video Analytics (crowd management, perimeter breach, vehicle detection), IP-based Access Control, IIoT sensors, and city-scale network topology.
- Protocols &

• Interoperability:

Practical understanding of ONVIF, REST APIs, BACnet/Modbus, and database management for central event logging.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Ability to align cross-functional teams, including municipal authorities, IT engineers, facility managers, and contractor teams.
