ROLE SUMMARY The Maintenance Head is responsible for managing and overseeing all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for plant machinery, electrical systems, and utilities. The role ensures maximum equipment uptime, safety, and reliability to support uninterrupted production operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan for all plant equipment
•Lead a team of electricians and mechanical technicians in executing maintenance activities
•Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
•Maintain records of all maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history
•Plan and manage maintenance budgets including spare parts procurement
•Coordinate with production for planned maintenance shutdowns and downtime management
•Ensure all plant utilities (power, compressed air, HVAC, water) are maintained in good condition
•Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations,
equipment certifications, and safety standards
•Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures
•Manage AMC contracts and vendor service calls for specialized equipment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
•710 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
•Experience with electrical control panels, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems
•Exposure to CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
•Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
•Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques
•Ability to read electrical schematics and P&ID; diagrams
•Problem-solving skills and RCA methodologies
•Team leadership and coordination skills
•Familiarity with safety standards and permit-to-work systems

•Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) improvement
•Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) targets
•PM plan compliance percentage
•Breakdown downtime per month
•Maintenance cost vs. budget
