Electrician : Roles and Responsibilities An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Roles

- Install electrical wiring, cables, switches, sockets, lighting, and electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify faults, damage, or unsafe conditions.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and carry out necessary repairs.
- Test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate testing instruments.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.




- Replace damaged components such as fuses, breakers, switches, cables, and lights.
- Assist with electrical installations during construction, renovation, or industrial projects.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, maintenance, and materials used.
- Follow proper electrical safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, contractors, and other technicians when required.
