Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe z/OS Systems Administrator with strong expertise in z/OS system administration, software installation, customization, upgrades, and production support. The candidate should have hands-on experience with SMP/E, z/OSMF, JES2/JES3, Sysplex, RACF, USS, PARMLIB, and mainframe communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, customize, test, implement, document, and support ISV products on IBM z/OS.
- Use IBM SMP/E to receive, install, maintain, and apply z/OS and related software.
- Troubleshoot software installation issues by analyzing SMP/E output and messages.
- Configure and maintain SMP/E environments, parameters, and software packages.
- Create, secure, manage, and troubleshoot z/OS USS file systems and mount points.
- Create, update, and debug z/OS system parameters using PARMLIB.
- Support z/OS Sysplexes and CFRM policies.
- Work with z/OSMF, JES2/JES3, TSO, REXX, IOCP/HCD,



and RACF.
- Support mainframe communication technologies including VTAM, TCP/IP, and FTP.
- Plan and execute z/OS software and hardware installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for system installations, upgrades, and configurations.
- Provide 24x7/365 production support, including on-call and off-hours coverage.
- Participate in periodic weekend implementations and production activities.
- Work with ISV vendors to troubleshoot product issues and coordinate resolutions.

ISV / Product Experience :

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred : BMC Products, SFTP, FDS, PKZIP, Precisely StreamWeaver, Finalist, Zena, LRS, and other mainframe ISV products.

Leadership & Soft Skills :

- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior team members.
- Demonstrate robust communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
