What You'll Do

As a Legal Associate, you will support the legal, commercial, regulatory, policy, and compliance work behind Aule's missions. You will work closely with external counsel, take ownership of the initial review of routine matters, and escalate material or novel issues for further review.

Responsibilities

- Support the drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and administration of commercial agreements across Aule's customer, supplier, partner and technology relationships

- Support compliance with applicable domestic and international legal and regulatory frameworks, including monitoring developments and coordinating with relevant authorities, external bodies and advisers on regulatory matters concerning Aule's business and space missions

- Assist with regulatory applications, licences, filings, submissions and correspondence with government authorities

- Support corporate governance, fundraising, statutory compliance and due-diligence activities in coordination with the external advisers

- Support the protection and management of Aule's intellectual property and confidential information

- Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical, and actionable guidance to internal teams

- Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, playbooks, records, compliance trackers and contract-management processes





- Work with internal stakeholders and external counsel to identify, assess and address legal and contractual risks in a proactive and timely manner

What We Look For

Minimum Requirements

- LL.B. from a reputed university in India

- 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm, corporate legal team or regulatory body

- Strong contract drafting, review, negotiation, and legal research skills

- Working knowledge of contract law, company law and intellectual property law

- Clear written and verbal communication

- Keen attention to details and document-management skills

- Ability to multi-task across different timezones to proactively close work deliverables

- Comfortable working in office with technical and business teams in Bengaluru

Strong relevant internships may be considered for fresh graduates.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to aerospace, defence, deep tech, hardware, manufacturing, telecom or another regulated industry

- Experience with procurement contracts, government contracts, regulatory filings or fundraising due diligence

- Interest in space law and emerging regulatory frameworks

A specialisation in space law is a plus.
