HummingBird, a next-generation AI-powered Total Talent Workforce Platform, is hiring on behalf of its Fortune 500 client for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to join their technology team in Bangalore.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Tester with 4–8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in functional testing, test automation, API testing, regression testing, and defect management, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, track, and validate software defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant automation frameworks.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent technologies.
- Analyze test results and provide clear reports on application quality, defects, risks, and test coverage.
- Collaborate closely with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirements reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Execute regression testing for new releases and enhancements.




- Support CI/CD testing pipelines and integrate automated testing into development workflows.
- Validate application performance, reliability, usability, and compatibility where required.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation, including test cases, execution reports, defect logs, and test metrics.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing.
- Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing methodologies.
- Experience with defect management and tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with API testing and REST-based services.
- Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
- Programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience with API automation using REST Assured or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Knowledge of BDD/TDD practices is an advantage.
- Experience testing enterprise-scale applications is preferred.
