About the Team and the Role
As a Lead QA Engineer, looking for a Senior or Lead QA Engineer to define and execute test strategy for embedded and cloud software as we build toward market release in a regulated Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD) environment. This hands-on role covers everything from test planning and risk analysis through automation, execution, defect investigation, and FDA-aligned regulatory documentation, working closely with engineering, product, product design, clinical, and regulatory stakeholders.
What will you do?
- Lead requirements and design reviews; create software verification plans, test protocols, and risk analyses to support products progressing toward market release.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute verification and validation strategies — Integration, Functional, Performance, Scalability, and Reliability testing — and run regression validation as requirements change.
- Manage QA activities and priorities across multiple concurrent projects, providing technical direction and mentorship to junior test engineers within the team.
- Record and track defects through the full life cycle in tools such as Jira; analyze failures and drive root-cause investigation with development teams.
- Write test reports, maintain traceability, and report test progress and release readiness to management.
- Establish QA metrics, track automation coverage and bug trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Follow internal software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures in compliance with medical device and security regulations.
- Evaluate and apply AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve QA productivity.
Who are we looking for?

- Practical experience with defect life cycle management and tracking tools such as Jira.
- Strong grounding in manual testing methodologies — System, Unit, Regression, Integration,Black Box, White Box, and Performance/Stress testing.
- Exposure to SaaS or cloud-based test automation spanning UI, API, and cloud services(Appium, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, pytest, Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or AI-assisted development/testing tools.
