Lead Programme Planner (Aerospace Growth)

Duration: 6 Month Contract role

Location: Onsite 5 days a week No. 38, KIADB Industrial Area, Doddaballapur, Bengaluru, Karnataka 561203, India

End Client: The organization is a specialized global leader in high-performance engineering, manufacturing, and industrial solutions. They focus heavily on critical flight-hardware, complex fluid-conveyance systems, and precision-engineered metal components utilized extensively across the commercial, regional, and military aerospace sectors, as well as industrial gas applications.

Role Overview

- Engagement: Short-term, non-permanent assignment (flexible location with regular engagement in Bangalore and international teams).
- Reporting To: Head of Aerospace Programmes.
- Purpose: Build and maintain a robust, logic-linked integrated master schedule for a multi-site aerospace growth initiative (connecting a recent Bangalore facility, site relocation, capability transfer, supply chain, and operational readiness).

Key Responsibilities

- Master Schedule Integration: Build and maintain an end-to-end integrated schedule combining site moves, engineering, supply chain, and operational workstreams from incomplete or decentralized inputs.
- Critical Path & Risk Analysis: Identify critical paths, assess schedule realism, highlight risks, and model recovery scenarios.
- Governance & Baseline Control: Establish a formal baseline, progress update cadence, and controlled change management process.
- Coaching & Collaboration:

Partner with cross-functional teams and Project Managers to define work breakdown structures (WBS) and transfer planning skills to delivery owners.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver clear, decision-focused status reports and insights for leadership and governance forums.

Key Deliverables

- Schedule quality and gap assessment report.
- Agreed planning hierarchy linking sub-projects and enabling workstreams.
- Logic-linked integrated programme schedule with a defined critical path.
- Documented baseline, forecasting, and change-control mechanism.
- Concise executive reporting pack and team capability-improvement plan.

Essential Requirements

- Experience: Senior or lead planning experience on complex, multi-stream technical programmes within engineering, manufacturing, or industrialization environments.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in critical path analysis, time scheduling, schedule risk management, and baseline/change control. Master-builder capability (creating schedules from scratch, not just updating them).
- Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional facilitation, and the ability to challenge optimistic assumptions constructively.
- Tools: Proficiency in enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or equivalent platforms).
- Communication: Clear verbal and written English with the ability to translate complex data into concise executive summaries.

Ideal Additions

- Background in facility moves, equipment qualification, or supply-chain integration.
