Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Machine Operator to operate conventional lathe machines for manufacturing and machining of components used in heavy machinery, fabrication and solid-waste processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and set conventional/heavy-duty lathe machines as per production requirements.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, threading, grooving, tapering and chamfering operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Select and set appropriate cutting tools, speed, feed and depth of cut.
- Properly mount and align jobs using chuck, fixtures and other work-holding devices.
- Machine components such as shafts, bushes, rollers, sleeves, pins, couplings and other machinery parts.
- Check dimensions using Vernier Caliper,



Micrometer, Dial Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet required quality, dimensional accuracy and tolerance.
- Identify machining defects and make necessary adjustments/corrections.
- Monitor tool condition and replace or adjust tools when required.
- Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain 5S, housekeeping and workplace safety.
- Achieve daily production and quality targets.
