Role Description The Junior Veterinary Doctor will support clinical consultations, assist in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal species, and participate in routine check-ups and follow-up care. Day-to-day responsibilities include taking medical histories, performing basic examinations, supporting senior veterinarians during procedures, and documenting cases accurately.

The role also involves educating pet guardians about preventive care, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions, while maintaining a calm, empathetic environment for animals and their families. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Pune City,



requiring regular presence at the clinic and active teamwork with medical and support staff.

Qualifications

- Foundational clinical skills in veterinary examination, diagnosis, and basic treatment across small animals and, preferably, avian or aquatic species.
- Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and interpret basic laboratory and imaging results under supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to counsel pet guardians and collaborate effectively with clinic staff.
- Commitment to animal welfare, empathy, patience, and the ability to remain composed in urgent or emotionally challenging situations.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent veterinary degree) from a recognized institution; eligibility for relevant local registration or licensing.
- Willingness to learn from senior veterinarians, accept feedback, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Availability to work on-site in Pune City during agreed part-time shifts, including possible weekends or evenings as clinic needs require.
- Prior internship or hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic is an advantage but not mandatory for highly motivated recent graduates.
