We are looking for a Production Engineer to manage and coordinate day-to-day manufacturing activities for our custom-built scientific and engineering equipment. The role will be responsible for shop-floor manpower, production planning, shift management, outsourcing vendors, material coordination, and monitoring project execution to ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise shop-floor production, including manpower allocation, shift planning, and daily production activities.

- Plan, prioritize, and monitor production as per project requirements, timelines, and targets.

- Track jobs from fabrication and machining through assembly, testing, and dispatch, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion.

- Coordinate with outsourcing vendors for fabrication, machining, welding, surface treatment, and other external processes; follow up on quality, progress, and delivery.

- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Design, Quality, Assembly, Testing,



and material vendors to ensure availability of required materials and components.

- Monitor production output, manpower productivity, job progress, and bottlenecks; take corrective action to minimize delays, rework, and idle time.

- Monitor team performance, attendance, resource utilization, and pending activities through regular follow-ups with supervisors and team members.

- Coordinate with Quality for inspections, non-conformities, rework, and corrective actions.

- Prepare daily/weekly production status reports and provide management with updates on progress, delays, and critical issues.

- Participate in production/project review meetings and identify opportunities to improve productivity, workflow, manpower utilization, and overall production efficiency.
