Job Summary

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Mumbai. In this role, you will assist the accounting team with day-to-day data entries, filings, and basic accounts-related functions. Additionally, you will collaborate with the procurement team to assist with purchase-related accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounting Entries: Perform daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Purchase Team Support: Assist the procurement/purchase team with vendor invoice verification, purchase orders, and matching goods receipts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Help reconcile bank statements and track daily cash flows.
- Documentation & Filing: Maintain physical and digital financial records, vouchers,



and supporting documents systematically.
- Compliance Support: Assist senior accountants in gathering data for statutory filings and audit preparations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Tally, Tally Prime, and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas) is mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in core accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Core Competencies: Valuable understanding of basic accounting principles, debit/credit concepts, and ledger maintenance.

Preferred / Plus Skills

- Basic knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxation (GST, TDS, TCS).
- Familiarity with tax filing portals and compliance software.
- Prior experience in the hospitality or retail sector is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹14,000 per month stipend (negotiable depending on experience and interview performance).
- Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 4 days), On-site (Office located in Mumbai).
