About The Role We are looking for experienced iOS Developers at the SDE II and SDE III levels to build and scale a high-engagement consumer technology platform.

You will take ownership of critical iOS modules, translate product ideas into polished user experiences, and solve challenges involving performance, real-time interactions, offline functionality, security, and scalability. This role requires strong iOS fundamentals, product thinking, and the ability to independently deliver production-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift
- Build responsive and reusable user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit
- Own features from technical design and development through release and post-production monitoring
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, AI, Security, and Quality Engineering teams
- Integrate REST APIs, WebSockets, push notifications, analytics, authentication systems, and third-party services
- Improve application start-up time, rendering performance, memory usage, battery consumption, and crash rates
- Develop reliable offline experiences using local storage, caching, and data synchronisation
- Write modular, testable, and maintainable code using established architectural patterns
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and production troubleshooting
- Monitor application health using crash reporting, analytics, logging, and performance-monitoring tools
- Maintain security standards for user data, API communication, local storage, and application releases
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, TestFlight distribution, App Store releases,

Core Technical Requirements

- Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS SDK
- Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit
- Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency, async/await, actors, Combine, and asynchronous programming
- Experience with MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture, The Composable Architecture, or similar scalable architectural approaches
- Strong understanding of the iOS application lifecycle, memory management, multithreading, networking, and performance optimisation
- Experience with URLSession, Codable, Core Data, UserDefaults, Keychain, and local caching
- Experience integrating REST APIs, WebSockets, Firebase, push notifications, universal links, and deep links
- Knowledge of dependency injection, modular architecture, background processing, pagination, and data synchronisation
- Experience writing unit and UI tests using XCTest, XCUITest, or Swift Testing
- Familiarity with Git, Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, CI/CD pipelines, App Store Connect, TestFlight, and production debugging
- Valuable understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and the ability to translate Figma designs into polished iOS experiences

Level Expectations SDE III

- Typically 6 to 9 years of iOS development experience




- Owns the architecture and delivery of major application areas
- Makes system-level decisions affecting scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Drives improvements in performance, testing, observability, security, and release quality
- Mentors iOS engineers and raises the overall technical standards of the team
- Collaborates with engineering leadership on roadmap planning, technical trade-offs, and risk management
- Leads the investigation and resolution of complex production issues

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building high-scale B2C, social media, community, messaging, content, or other consumer applications
- Experience implementing real-time feeds, chat, media uploads, notifications, recommendation surfaces, or social interactions
- Experience with modular iOS architecture and multi-module codebases
- Familiarity with AVFoundation, AVKit, Core Animation, image processing, media playback, and upload optimisation
- Understanding of iOS security, Keychain, encryption, certificate pinning, data protection, and application hardening
- Experience publishing or actively maintaining applications on the Apple App Store
- Experience working in fast-paced product or start-up environments
