Responsible for improving manufacturing processes, productivity, manpower utilization, line balancing, capacity planning, and operational efficiency. The role involves analyzing production data, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies, method studies, and work measurement activities.
- Develop and maintain standard operating times and process standards.
- Perform line balancing and optimize manpower deployment.
- Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and productivity losses.
- Prepare and maintain process flow charts, operation layouts, and work instructions.
- Monitor productivity, capacity utilization, cycle time, and efficiency KPIs.
- Support capacity planning and manpower planning for production requirements.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and waste reduction.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for productivity and process-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and other departments.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process improvement projects.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly productivity and efficiency reports.
- Ensure implementation and sustainability of approved process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and productivity enhancement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in manufacturing/production environments.
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering tools and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
