Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to lead the HR function for an organisation of 100+ employees.
The role requires a strong combination of HR operations, employee relations, performance management, recruitment and statutory compliance , with the maturity to handle sensitive employee matters fairly, confidentially and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, performance management, increments, engagement and exits.
- Lead the annual performance appraisal and increment process , ensuring timely completion, proper documentation and coordination with department heads and management.
- Handle employee grievances, workplace concerns and disciplinary matters with neutrality, confidentiality and appropriate documentation.
- Build a professional and approachable HR function while maintaining clear workplace standards and accountability.
- Partner with department heads to address performance, manpower, behavioural and employee-relations issues.
- Manage recruitment and manpower planning across departments and ensure positions are closed within agreed timelines.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, attendance, leave and HRMS data accurately.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, company policies and employment documentation.
- Review and strengthen HR policies, SOPs, processes and internal controls.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, salary revisions,
employee benefits and other HR-related financial information with Finance/Accounts.
- Track HR metrics including attrition, absenteeism, recruitment TAT, performance and employee grievances, and provide periodic reports to management.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify recurring organisational or managerial issues requiring management attention.
- Support employee engagement, training and organisational development initiatives.
- Guide and supervise the HR team and ensure transparent allocation and follow-up of responsibilities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and management information.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Postgraduate qualification in HR, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline .
- 5–8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with experience independently managing an HR function or significant HR responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruitment and HR operations .
- Working knowledge of applicable labour and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRMS/performance management systems is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgement and ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations professionally.
- Comfortable working directly with senior management and department heads.
