About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated HR Payroll Professional to join our team at Kyndryl India. In this vital role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for our employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and coordinate closely with third-party payroll vendors to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

Your expertise will be instrumental in interpreting complex pay policies, managing statutory compliance, and ensuring that all payroll activities adhere to local regulations, especially within the Japanese payroll framework. Additionally, you will play a key role in offboarding processes, collaborating with various internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless transitions for departing employees. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a global environment, contribute to process improvements, and stay abreast of evolving payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Japan, including Social Insurance (Shakai Hoken), Labor Insurance, and Resident Tax (Jūminzei), ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws.
- Coordinate with third-party payroll vendors to implement system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and optimize payroll operations.
- Interpret and apply pay policies accurately, including leaves of absence, disability benefits, workers' compensation, and union contracts, ensuring proper calculation and adherence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, ensuring ongoing compliance and legal adherence.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
- Assist in the offboarding process,



working closely with departing employees, HR, and legal teams to ensure seamless transitions and proper documentation.
- Generate payroll reports and analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for process improvement.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
- Stay informed about changes in employment law and payroll regulations, recommending necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
