Job Purpose & Role
This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for US employees along with HR operations from hire to retire.
The individual will own payroll accuracy, compliance and timelines, while also supporting core HR processes including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HRMS administration, and employee experience.
This is a hands-on execution role requiring strong understanding of US payroll practices, statutory compliance, and the ability to manage HR operations in a structured and process-driven environment.
Key Activities & Expectations
Payroll Processing & Control
- Own end-to-end payroll processing for US employees across defined pay cycles
- Ensure accurate calculation of earnings, deductions, benefits and taxes
- Validate payroll inputs including attendance, variable pay, reimbursements and adjustments
- Maintain strong payroll controls, approvals and audit checks before final release
Compliance, Reporting & Benefits
- Ensure full compliance with US payroll regulations, federal and state tax requirements
- Validate payroll tax filings, statutory deductions and year-end activities (W-2)
- Generate payroll registers, tax reports and audit-ready documentation
- Administer payroll-linked benefits and ensure reconciliation with finance and systems
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, exits and changes
- Maintain accurate employee master data in HRMS with solid controls
- Support performance cycles,
compensation changes and employee records management
- Act as primary point of contact for employee queries on payroll, benefits and HR policies
- Ensure defined response timelines and service quality for employee interactions to drive employee satisfaction
Systems, Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across payroll and HRMS systems
- Support system updates, testing and process transitions into Shared Services
- Drive standardization, process documentation and efficiency improvements
- Maintain confidentiality and strong control over sensitive employee data
Key Deliverables
- Accurate and timely payroll processing with zero compliance deviations
- Strong adherence to payroll timelines across all cycles
- Clean and validated payroll and tax reporting
Technical Skills Required
- Strong understanding of US payroll processes, tax structures and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with payroll & HRMS systems such as Paylocity, SAP Succes Factors, ADP, Workday or similar platforms
- Good exposure to HR operations including onboarding, lifecycle management and HRMS usage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with onshore US teams
- Strong working knowledge of Excel & Spreadsheet solutions for payroll validation and reporting
- Ability to manage payroll audits, reconciliations and controls
- High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential data
