About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on HR leader who can independently own and run the entire HR, Talent
Acquisition, Payroll, and Administration function for a ~100-employee organization — end to end, with minimal oversight from Management. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can operate as a true business partner:
someone Management can fully delegate HR to, and trust to run it proactively, ethically, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR generalist — equally comfortable with strategic people initiatives and the operational detail of payroll runs, compliance filings, and office administration.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Own the complete employee lifecycle — onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, exits, and full &
final settlements.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs; ensure consistent policy
implementation across the organization.
- Manage employee records, HRMS data accuracy, and documentation (offer letters, appointment letters,
appraisal letters, experience/relieving letters).
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, performance issues, and conflict resolution independently
- Drive performance management cycles — goal setting, appraisals, increments, and promotions in
coordination with department heads.
- Own employee engagement — events, R&R; programs, feedback surveys, and initiatives to improve retention
and workplace culture.
- Ensure statutory and labour law compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus Act, POSH, ESOPs etc.) and maintain
audit-readiness at all times.
- Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all levels — from manpower planning and job postings to sourcing,
screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation,
and closure.
- Build and manage relationships with recruitment consultants/hiring firms, job portals, and other sourcing
channels.
- Own hiring budgets, manpower planning, and TAT/cost-per-hire metrics; report hiring status proactively to
Management.
- Strengthen the employer brand and improve candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Design and manage a smooth induction/onboarding program for new joiners.
3. Payroll Management
- Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for ~100 employees — attendance/leave inputs, salary
computation, deductions, reimbursements, and full & final settlements.
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory compliance and remittance — PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, and other
applicable filings.
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for payroll disbursement, budgeting, and reconciliation.
- Manage employee compensation structures, salary benchmarking, and perks administration (insurance,
mediclaim, etc.).
- Handle payroll audits, and respond to statutory inspections/notices as needed.
4. Administration
- Oversee day-to-day office administration — facilities, vendor management, housekeeping, security, and office
supplies.
- Manage admin budgets and vendor contracts (AMC, travel, courier, stationery, etc.) to ensure cost efficiency.
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and well-maintained work environment; renewals, and statutory registers.
- Coordinate travel, logistics,
and event management for company offsites, meetings, and client visits as
needed.
- Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to Management on all people-related matters, without requiring day-to-day
involvement from leadership.
- Build and mentor a small HR/admin team as the organization scales.
- Bring in best practices, automation (HRMS tools), and process improvements to increase efficiency across
HR, payroll, and admin functions.
- Provide Management with periodic reports on HR metrics — attrition, hiring, payroll costs, etc. —
proactively rather than on request.
Key Requirements
- MBA in HR or related field; additional certification in Labour Law/Payroll Compliance is a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with proven experience independently managing HR operations, TA,
payroll, and admin in a company of similar size (~75–150 employees).
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Bonus Act,
POSH, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with HRMS/payroll softwares.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with high ownership — comfortable being the single point of
accountability for HR without close supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to handle sensitive matters with
discretion and sound judgment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability — comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with
operational/administrative detail.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Benefits
- Paid sick time
- Paid time off
