We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist based in India to provide direct support to the U.S.-based Director of Human Resources and assist with HR operations for employees located in both the United States and India.

This is a fully remote position requiring the selected candidate to work U.S. Central Time business hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including prior experience working with a U.S.-based company. The HR Generalist will serve as a key HR resource, helping ensure consistent HR processes, accurate documentation, timely employee support, and effective coordination across our U.S. and India workforce.

Position Details

Reports To: Director of Human Resources U.S.

- Employee Population Supported: United States & India

Candidates must be comfortable consistently working U.S. business hours from India.

Key Responsibilities

Director of HR Support

- Provide direct day-to-day support to the U.S. Director of Human Resources.
- Assist with HR operations, employee matters, reporting, compliance, projects, and administrative responsibilities across the U.S. and India.
- Maintain HR calendars, deadlines, compliance requirements, and employee documentation.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, presentations, trackers, and workforce metrics for leadership.
- Follow up with managers and employees regarding outstanding HR documentation, training, acknowledgments, performance reviews, and other HR requirements.
- Support special projects and HR initiatives assigned by the Director of HR.

U.S. & India Employee Support
- Serve as an HR resource for employees and managers located in both the United States and India.
- Respond to routine employee HR questions and escalate employee relations or compliance matters to the Director of HR when appropriate.
- Help ensure HR policies, procedures, and processes are consistently communicated and administered.
- Coordinate with managers and leadership across different locations and time zones.




- Maintain professional, timely, and confidential communication with employees at all levels.

Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate the full onboarding process for U.S. and India employees.
- Prepare and track new-hire documentation, employment agreements, background checks, HRIS setup, orientation, and policy acknowledgments.
- Coordinate employee offboarding and separations, including required documentation, HRIS updates, benefits notifications, equipment-return coordination, and employee record maintenance.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and employee documentation.
- Process employee changes, including compensation, position, department, manager, location, and employment-status updates.

HR Operations
- Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer processes.
- Support employee relations matters, documentation, and follow-up.
- Assist with performance review processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support attendance, time-off, leave, and timekeeping administration.
- Assist with payroll-related employee changes and ensure information is accurate and submitted timely.
- Maintain HRIS data and regularly review employee records for accuracy.

Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with EEOC reporting, workforce demographic reporting, and other required U.S. HR compliance reporting.
- Support HR documentation and compliance requirements applicable to employees in both the United States and India.
- Maintain accurate HR data to support audits, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Track required employee training, policy acknowledgments, certifications, and other compliance documentation.
- Assist the Director of HR with internal and external HR audits.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,



Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 46 years of progressive U.S. Human Resources experience.
- Prior experience working with a U.S.-based company is must.
- Experience supporting employees located in the United States is strongly preferred.
- Experience directly supporting an HR Manager, Director of HR, Head of HR, or other senior HR leader preferred.
- Hands-on experience managing U.S. employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Experience with EEOC reporting and U.S. HR compliance requirements preferred.
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment requirements in the U.S. is highly desirable.
- Experience with U.S. recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Experience using an HRIS and/or payroll system.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Exceptional organization, follow-up, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the Director of HR.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.

Schedule Requirement The successful candidate must be available to work: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM U.S. Central Time

This schedule is required to provide real-time support to the U.S. Director of Human Resources, U.S. managers and employees, and India-based employees and operations.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on HR qualified who takes ownership, follows through, and can manage responsibilities with limited supervision.

This individual should be comfortable working directly with a U.S.-based Director of HR while supporting a workforce spanning the United States and India. Success in this role requires excellent communication, confidentiality, organization, responsiveness, cultural awareness, and the ability to effectively manage multiple HR priorities across countries and time zones.

4–6 years of U.S. HR experience and prior experience working with a U.S. based organization are required.
