Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations across our corporate office, outlets and central kitchen.
The candidate will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, attendance and leave management, payroll coordination, employee engagement, employee relations, HR documentation, performance support and HR policy implementation.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with outlet-level employees and managers and should be able to handle HR activities independently in a fast-paced F&B;/QSR environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for outlet, central kitchen, corporate and managerial positions.
- Understand manpower requirements from department heads and outlet managers.
- Source candidates through job portals, references, social media and recruitment consultants.
- Screen profiles and conduct initial HR interviews.
- Coordinate interviews with respective department heads.
- Manage candidate follow-ups, selection, salary negotiation and offer process.
- Maintain recruitment tracker and ensure timely closure of open positions.
1. Employee Onboarding & Induction
- Manage complete joining formalities and documentation.
- Prepare offer letters, appointment letters and other HR documents.
- Conduct HR induction and explain company policies, attendance, leave and employee guidelines.
- Ensure employee documents and personal information are updated and properly maintained.
- Coordinate joining formalities with respective outlets/departments.
1. Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor daily attendance across outlets, Central Kitchen and HO.
- Maintain attendance and leave records through HRMS/SalaryBox or applicable systems.
- Follow up on absenteeism, late coming, early leaving and irregular attendance.
- Coordinate attendance regularisation with managers.
- Ensure leave requests and approvals are processed as per company policy.
- Track probation, confirmation and employee movements.
1. Payroll Coordination
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with Accounts/Finance.
- Verify attendance, leaves, incentives, deductions, salary revisions and other payroll inputs.
- Resolve employee queries related to salary, attendance, deductions and leave.
- Coordinate Full & Final Settlement documentation and clearance.
- Maintain accurate payroll-related records.
1. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries.
- Handle employee concerns, grievances and workplace issues professionally.
- Coordinate with outlet managers and department heads for employee-related matters.
- Maintain proper documentation of disciplinary and employee-related cases.
- Support management in implementing corrective actions where required.
1. HR Operations & Documentation
- Maintain updated employee master data and personnel files.
- Prepare HR letters including confirmation, transfer, promotion, increment, warning, experience and relieving letters.
- Maintain employee records related to joining, confirmation, leave, attendance and exit.
- Ensure HR documentation is accurate, confidential and up to date.
- Support implementation and communication of HR policies.
1. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities across outlets and HO.
- Support employee recognition and reward initiatives.
- Conduct employee feedback and regular interaction with outlet teams.
- Identify employee concerns that may impact retention.
- Support initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
1. Performance Management
- Coordinate probation reviews and confirmation processes.
- Support performance appraisal and increment processes.
- Track employee performance-related documentation.
- Coordinate with managers regarding performance concerns and improvement plans.
- Maintain performance-related HR records.
1. Compliance & Statutory Support
- Support compliance related to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, labour laws and applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain required HR records and documentation.
- Coordinate with external consultants/vendors wherever required.
- Ensure HR processes are aligned with company policies and applicable regulations.
1. Outlet & Central Kitchen HR Support
- Regularly coordinate with outlet managers and Central Kitchen teams regarding manpower and employee issues.
- Monitor manpower availability and highlight staffing gaps.
- Support resolution of attendance, discipline and employee-related issues at outlet level.
- Coordinate urgent hiring requirements for outlets and operational teams.
- Understand the working environment and requirements of F&B;/QSR operations.
1. HR MIS & Reporting
Prepare and maintain regular HR reports covering:
- Headcount & manpower status
- Recruitment status
- Attrition
- Attendance & absenteeism
- Leave
- Overtime
- Employee movements
- Probation & confirmation
- Payroll inputs
- Hiring TAT
- Employee engagement activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in HR Generalist / HR Operations.
- F&B;, QSR, Hospitality or Retail experience will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of recruitment and employee lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with attendance and HRMS/payroll systems.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Basic understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and employee-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
The candidate should be able to independently manage day-to-day HR activities while coordinating effectively with employees, outlet managers, department heads, Accounts and Management.
