Role Description The Housekeeper at The Salt Restaurant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all designated areas, including dining spaces, restrooms, staff areas, and storage rooms. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, managing waste disposal, and ensuring that cleaning supplies and linens are stocked and organized.

The role also involves handling laundry, such as washing, drying, and folding linens and uniforms, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kerala,



India, requiring consistent adherence to health and safety standards and cooperation with the wider restaurant team to support a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

- Strong organization skills and attention to detail to maintain clean, orderly, and safe spaces.
- Ability to manage laundry tasks, including washing, drying, ironing, and proper storage of linens and uniforms.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond to guest or staff requests.
- Customer service mindset, with a focus on professionalism, respect, and supporting a comfortable environment for guests.
- Experience in training or willingness to learn and follow cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights throughout the shift.
- Basic understanding of cleaning products and safe handling practices.
