QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential

- BE/B.Tech Mechanical, Production, Industrial
- OR Diploma + 20+ years relevant experience
- 1525 years in SCM for precision machining/capital machinery
- Minimum 5 years in SCM leadership roles
- Mandatory hands-on skills:

- SAP MM/PP/MRP
- Vendor development in machining, casting, assemblies
- Inventory planning, MRP, cost analysis

Desirable

- MBA (Operations/Supply Chain)
- APICS / CPIM / Six Sigma Green Belt
- SAP certification preferred

Role Purpose: Lead end-to-end Supply Chain Management covering sourcing, procurement, vendor development, planning, inventory and logistics to ensure on-time delivery, cost competitiveness, quality and supply continuity for Grinding Machine Tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead SCM across sourcing, procurement, PPC coordination, inventory and logistics.




- Develop and manage a pan-India supplier base for castings, machined components, BOP and other materials.
- Drive OTIF/OTD, cost savings, supplier quality and inventory reduction.
- Lead supplier negotiations, evaluation, development, audits and performance reviews.
- Ensure timely ZBC and PO release and adherence to procurement plans.
- Drive NPD procurement and ensure timely availability of new components.
- Implement and strengthen SAP S/4HANA MM/PP/MRP processes, data integrity and governance.
- Standardise SCM processes, SOPs, dashboards, MIS and review mechanisms across business units.
- Improve supplier FTR/FPY and resolve quality and delivery issues.
- Control non-moving inventory, provisioning and material consumption.
- Build solid coordination with PPC, Costing, Production, Quality and Logistics functions.
- Lead, mentor and develop the SCM team and drive effective Daily Work Management (DWM).
