Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Head of Purchase with 20+ years of experience in Automotive / Sheet Metal Auto Components manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for leading the complete procurement function, strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, vendor management, and ensuring timely availability of materials as per production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall Purchase & Procurement function.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business requirements.
- Handle sourcing and procurement of sheet metal, steel coils/sheets, raw materials, bought-out components, consumables, tooling, and production-related items.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and develop reliable suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and strategic suppliers.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, lead time, quality, and commercial conditions.
- Drive annual cost reduction, VA/VE, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production and customer schedules.




- Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and service.
- Coordinate closely with PPC, Production, Quality, Stores, Finance, Tool Room, and Engineering teams.
- Develop alternate sources to minimize supply-chain risks.
- Lead supplier development and improvement programs.
- Manage purchase budgets and monitor procurement expenditure.
- Ensure effective inventory control and optimize material holding costs.
- Review purchase orders, contracts, rate agreements, and commercial terms.
- Handle supplier negotiations, escalations, and critical procurement issues.
- Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and supplier capacity.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and systems.
- Prepare and present procurement MIS, savings reports, supplier performance, and cost analysis to senior management.
- Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team.
- Support recent product development and new project sourcing activities.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to meet production and customer delivery requirements.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
