Position Title: Head – Projects & Operations (Head Office)

(Reporting directly to Director, Schnell Builders Pvt. Ltd.)

Location: Head Office, Gurugram — with periodic site visits to Nandurbar (Maharashtra) and Chandrapur (Maharashtra) as required.

Reporting To: Director

Role Summary:

Schnell is executing two new large-value projects simultaneously. The company requires a senior, HO-based professional who can act as a direct extension of the Director — owning both projects end-to-end from Gurgaon, without the Director's day-to-day involvement.

This is not a coordination role; it is a full-charge role covering planning, execution oversight, recruitment, and all HO-side functions for both projects.

Projects Under Charge

Chemical Plant

Location: Nandurbar, Maharashtra

Value: ₹200 Cr

Type: Agrochemical manufacturing facility

Timeline: 18–22 months

TMT Plant Setup

Location: Chandrapur, Maharashtra

Value: ₹350 Cr

Type: TMT plant setup

Timeline: 18–22 months

Key Responsibilities

- Project Planning & Execution Own the master execution plan, schedule, and resource plan for both projects from HO
- Track progress against milestones; flag and resolve slippages before they escalate
- Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and clients on technical, commercial, and contractual matters
- Ensure both projects run in parallel without conflict over shared resources (manpower, plant & machinery, vendors)

Recruitment & Manpower

- Independently plan and execute recruitment for both site teams and any HO support roles the projects need
- Build the organogram for each project, define roles, and close hiring within project timelines
- Manage onboarding, deployment, and performance tracking of project staff
- Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Identify, finalize,



and manage vendors/subcontractors for both projects
- Negotiate and close commercial terms within approved limits

Commercial & Financial Oversight

- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and billing (RA bills, client certifications)
- Coordinate with finance/accounts on project-linked payments, advances, and BGs

Compliance & Risk

- Ensure statutory, labour, HSE, and contractual compliance across both sites
- Manage client-side documentation, approvals, and correspondence

Reporting

- Single point of accountability to the Director for both projects
- Structured periodic reporting (progress, risks, financials, manpower) without requiring the Director's direct involvement in day-to-day matters

Candidate Profile

- 12–18 years in construction/EPC project management, with at least one stint managing multiple large projects simultaneously from a head office (not site-based)
- Proven experience across planning, execution, recruitment, vendor management, and commercial closure — i.e., a generalist who can run a project fully, not a single-function specialist
- Prior exposure to industrial/process plant projects (chemical, TMT, or similar heavy industrial setups) strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy and full ownership; must be able to represent the Director's authority in decision-making
- Robust stakeholder management — clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Based in or willing to relocate to Gurugram, with readiness to travel to Nandurbar and Chandrapur as needed

Nature of Role

This position is designed to function as a direct extension of the Director — handling both projects fully from Gurugram, with authority and accountability equivalent to that of the Director for these two projects.
