Job SummaryThe Head of Security will oversee end-to-end security operations across all seven rejuvenated lakes under the Coimbatore Smart City Project. This role is vital for safeguarding high-footfall public infrastructure, visitor recreational zones, walkways, and commercial installations. The ideal candidate will combine rigorous crowd control strategies with effective multi-agency coordination to maintain a family-friendly workplace across all sites.Key Responsibilities1.

Operational

Leadership & Monitoring

- Direct day-to-day security deployments across all 7 lake zones in Coimbatore.
- Manage a 24/7 centralized surveillance strategy utilizing CCTV monitoring networks, access controls, and boundary perimeter alerts.
- Design and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to public-access parks and water bodies.
- Conduct frequent tactical audits and risk-mitigation inspections across all locations.

2. Crowd & Public Space Management

- Lead advanced crowd management planning for high-traffic thresholds during weekends, festivals, and public gatherings.
- Enforce strict public conduct standards to eliminate public nuisance, unauthorized vendors, trespassing, vandalism, and anti-social behavior.
- Manage vehicle parking grids and secure pedestrian-only pathways near water frontages.

3. Team Management & Training

- Structure shift rosters, manage attendance, and perform audits on on-site security supervisors and guards.
- Lead onboarding, discipline tracking, and routine physical drills for the entire guard force.




- Cultivate a public-service, customer-friendly mindset among security personnel handling local citizens and tourists.

4. External Liaison & Emergency Protocols

- Act as the primary interface with the Coimbatore City Police, Fire & Rescue Services, and Coimbatore Municipal Corporation (CCMC) officials.
- Establish protocols for water-rescue emergencies, first aid coordination, and immediate incident escalation.
- Investigate security breaches, document structural incidents, and present formal reports directly to corporate leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Graduate degree in any stream. A background in criminology, defense studies, or security management is a distinct advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 12 to 18 years of experience in security operations, with at least 3 years heading a team. Prior experience managing large public facilities, infrastructure projects, municipal corporations, or large hospitality complexes is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in electronic security architectures, including Integrated CCTV Systems, IP Networks, and Digital Incident Logging Tools.
- Languages: Fluency in Tamil is mandatory for local agency coordination and public communication. Professional proficiency in English is required for administrative reporting.
- Core Competencies: Decisive leadership, conflict de-escalation, disaster response planning, and robust crisis management skills.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
