About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Operations to own and scale our production planning, fulfilment and supply chain operations.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that the right products are planned, produced, available and dispatched on time while balancing demand, production capacity, inventory, procurement and operational costs.

You will work closely with the leadership team and cross-functional teams across Demand Planning, Procurement, Production, Quality, Warehousing and Logistics to build a predictable, data-driven and scalable supply chain.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We are looking for someone who has actually built and operated planning and supply-chain systems not someone who has only managed teams or vendors.

What You'll Own

Production Planning & Fulfilment

- Own the end-to-end production planning process across plants, SKUs and product categories.
- Translate demand forecasts into practical production plans based on capacity, material availability, lead times and inventory requirements.
- Ensure production plans are executed against agreed timelines and quantities.
- Drive 95%+ production plan adherence / fill rate.
- Monitor plan-vs-actual performance and proactively identify capacity, material or operational constraints.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement and QA to prevent production delays and stockouts.
- Build mechanisms for identifying supply risks 714 days in advance rather than reacting to shortages at the last minute.
- Improve production scheduling, batch planning, line utilisation and capacity allocation.

Supply Planning & S&OP;
- Own the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) process across demand, supply, production, procurement and inventory.
- Build and maintain rolling 36 month supply plans.
- Translate business demand into production and procurement requirements.
- Work with commercial teams to understand promotions, launches, seasonality and demand fluctuations.
- Establish SKU-level planning parameters including lead time, safety stock, reorder points and minimum order quantities.




- Improve forecast accuracy and reduce both stockouts and excess inventory.

Supply Chain & Fulfilment Operations
- Own the flow of products from raw material availability production finished goods warehouse dispatch.
- Ensure product availability across D2C, marketplaces, modern trade and other sales channels.
- Identify bottlenecks across the supply chain and build processes to eliminate them.
- Work with warehouse and logistics partners to improve dispatch readiness and operational efficiency.
- Establish clear SLAs and operating metrics across supply-chain partners.
- Build reliable daily and weekly operating reviews around supply, fulfilment and inventory.

Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Own inventory planning and control across raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
- Maintain healthy inventory levels without compromising product availability.
- Improve inventory turns and reduce ageing, expiry and dead stock.
- Drive SKU-level inventory visibility through ERP/WMS systems.
- Establish robust reconciliation and cycle-counting processes.
- Work with warehouse/3PL partners to improve inventory accuracy and fulfilment readiness.

Procurement & Material Planning
- Partner with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
- Translate production plans into material requirements.
- Identify and mitigate material shortages before they impact production.
- Improve supplier lead-time reliability and procurement planning.
- Work with procurement teams to identify cost-saving and alternate sourcing opportunities.

Operational Excellence & Cost
- Identify opportunities to improve yield, capacity utilisation, wastage, handling and operating costs.
- Drive continuous improvement through data, root-cause analysis and structured problem solving.
- Build SKU-level and unit-level cost visibility.
- Establish operational dashboards and weekly/monthly performance reviews.
- Use technology, automation and ERP/WMS systems to reduce manual dependency and improve visibility.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Build and lead teams across production planning, supply planning, warehouse and supply-chain operations.
- Set clear KPIs, ownership and operating rhythms for the team.
- Work closely with Leadership, Finance, Sales, Procurement, Production and QA.




- Build processes that can scale with the company's growth rather than relying on individual firefighting.
- Develop a high-ownership, data-driven operations culture.

What Success Looks Like You will be expected to build a supply chain where:

- 95%+ production / fulfilment plan adherence
- Material shortages rarely become production blockers
- Production plans are reliable and predictable
- Inventory is available where and when it is required
- Stockouts and excess inventory are systematically reduced
- Forecast-to-supply planning becomes data-driven
- Warehouse and fulfilment operations have clear SLAs and visibility
- Operating costs improve year-on-year
- The supply chain can support the next 5x scale without a proportional increase in complexity

What We're Looking For

- 1015 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, fulfilment or operations.
- Strong experience in production planning and supply planning is essential.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including production, inventory, warehousing and procurement coordination.
- Experience working with S&OP;, demand planning, capacity planning, MRP or similar planning frameworks.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, material planning, inventory management and fulfilment.
- Experience in FMCG, food, consumer goods, D2C or manufacturing-led businesses is preferred.
- Comfortable working with ERP/WMS systems and operational data.
- Strong Excel / data-analysis skills and the ability to make decisions from numbers.
- Proven ability to build processes and teams in a fast-growing, high-ownership environment.
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain is a plus.

- Personally owned production planning and supply planning, rather than only overseeing a planning team.
- Managed multiple SKUs, production lines/plants or complex fulfilment operations.
- Experience balancing demand, capacity, inventory and material availability.
- Built or improved S&OP; / planning processes.
- Worked in an setting where availability, fill rate and fulfilment directly impacted revenue.
- A strong bias toward solving operational problems at the root rather than firefighting them repeatedly.
