Key responsibilities

- Own system architecture covering mechanics, electronics, power, displays, digitiser, embedded Linux, connectivity, security, serviceability and manufacturing test.

- Convert product intent into versioned requirements, interface contracts, budgets and measurable acceptance criteria.

- Maintain mass, energy, thermal, cost, risk, compliance and verification budgets.

- Define the prototype-to-production plan and entry and exit criteria for EVT, DVT, PVT and pilot builds.

- Lead design reviews, trade studies, failure reviews and configuration control.

- Select and manage engineering consultants, component suppliers, laboratories and the EMS or ODM partner.

- Ensure reproducible source, CAD, schematic, PCB, firmware, build, flashing, diagnostic and test handovers.

- Own the technical schedule and budget, and make risks visible before they become purchase orders.

- Recruit,



coach and evaluate the core device team.

Required qualifications and evidence

- B.E. or B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a closely related discipline.

- Twelve or more years in physical-product development.

- Personally led at least two products through prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT and production release.

- Demonstrated system-level decision-making across hardware, firmware, mechanics and manufacturing.

- Strong understanding of BOM control, DFM and DFT, supplier qualification, reliability and certification.

- Explicit written engineering communication and disciplined change control.
